Shepherds of Old St. Mary’s

Rev. John B. Reichert, 1898-1976
Seventh Pastor, 1945-1948

Father Reichert was born on March 1, 1898, in Osgood, Ohio, and following his ordination on June 11, 1927, he served as pastor of St. Francis de Sales parish in Walnut Hills. He taught briefly at Purcell High School before beginning his brief assignment as pastor at Old St. Mary's. Later, he became pastor of St. Boniface Church in Northside. He died on May 12, 1976 and was interred at Gate of Heaven Cemetary.
